Milipol is a police trade show in Paris. Black scar with black box and FCS.

Might want to shrink the 1st and 3rd pic, but nice find.

That Heavy in the first pic has an Elcan Spectre on it if I'm not mistaken Awesome

You know, I read that article yesterday and I thought that the
grenade launcher system looked familiar...It's basically the
same as the one that is in the video below...FNH has been
working on this AWESOME grenadier system for quite some
time

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nd-dFpgxE4M

And okay, I have to ask....Since I've never seen one (and
with a $2,000 price tag I probably never will), what is so
great about the Elcan Spectre? Just curious....

It flips from a 1x scope to a 4x with the flick of a switch and US SOCOM bought a bunch of them. Supposed to combine the versatility of an RDS with magnifier with the convenience of having just one optic.

From what I've heard and read, they aren't singularly wonderful. An S&B Short Dot or a 1-4x Nightforce NXS (or really any 1-4x scope of decent quality) does the same job for the same money or less. And don't include the terminal hindrance of ARMS mounts.

With a flip of a lever you can go from 1X to 4X (I think they also have a 1.5X to 6X as well). One of the stupidest setups I've seen is the Elcan with a Doctor Optic on top, which baffled me since all you need to do is flip the lever to go to 1X. They are kinda heavy, but built to last.

Well, okay...now I see why they are a little expensive...Thanks Guys! Bow ...I still wont buy one, but at least I now know why they are so darned expensive...Heck, I thought that the ACOG was a little outrageous (just my opinion) but after spending almost $800 on a COMPM4 I guess it seems worth it to have a good 3x or 4x magnifier as well...I dunno...Some of these optics prices make me wonder what kind of special stuff they are really made out of...

They're made of this stuff called unobtainium. It's a rare element which shares a titanium alloy bi-metal base coupled with a wishalloy zirconium and kryptonite homogeneous iron alloy. Thumbs Up

Google unobtainium for the skinny. Very Happy

Only 1 SCAR for those guys in the first pic, the Heavy on the ground with the 12" bbl in the next one. Hmmm.

Could be. 2 are wearing multicam, the other 3 look like they're wearing the Marines desert digital pattern.

My thought would be that they are SEALS since the desert MARPAT uniforms appear to be Crye Precision Combat utilities. Which Crye did a run of, IIRC, exclusively for the SEALS.

Not MARPAT, but AOR1 - they are SEALS with the exception of one in the second picture who is DEA (Opscore helmet is dead giveaway.)

Well... I knew that it wasn't actually MARPAT. It just looks like it and I completely forgot the name of it. (In retrospect, I should have mentioned that.)

Frustrated

I've got some stuff here that looks identical to the guys BDU's and the label calls it all multi-cam made by Tru Spec. But then again, it is a picture, so it may not be the same pattern, but it sure looks like it.

Surprised

that's what the 2 guys on the left are wearing, the other 3 are wearing the other pattern.

Unfortunately, it appears that anything made out of AOR1 or AOR2 is also made of a 50/50 Unobtainium weave.

Sad
