But for now you can enjoy semi-auto goodness!
She remembered how 'I managed to get him on one occasion, when I was depressed by the news of one German victory after another and the resultant intolerable arrogance and gloating of the people of Berlin. "What will happen, Herr Professor?", I asked anxiously. Einstein looked at me, raised his fist, and replied: "This will govern!" '

The gunsmith that "sub-contracts" for us charges $150 to convert a Savage Model 93 .22 Magnum rifle to 5.7. I'm going to take him up on it too, unless anyone here has any better suggestions...

Looks like it has a floor plate, note the floor plate release leaver at the inside front of the trigger guard.

But the 5.7 round is way smaller than the short action magazine. Hmm jury is out...

Of the pic provided, he says it is in the thread but is looking for a mag solution (I'm picturing a 5.7 mag sticking out the bottom ).

CountryBoy: yes, the Savage was a single shot. He's still working on a workable magazine for it

I have played with the idea myself. I have no experience with 5.7 mags though. Are they plastic or metal? If they are metal i would just chop one and make it work. If they are plastic well then
Id like to have one just for the simple fact there is what a handful out there.
take a beat up 93 and put the boyds tr stock and you got yourself a shooter

Me too. I like precise target shooting anyway, and a nice bolt rifle would extend the life of my brass, too.

As far as I know, the Five-seveN magazines are plastic. I'd have to get my little paws on a suitable magazine before I could think about how to modify it...
