That SS198LF looks like it is a very good round. Impressive speeds coming out of the pistol and it looks like it yawed significantly in the water jug.

It seems to do everything that the restricted rounds do, and it's faster.Originally Posted by djv38
The speed test needs to be done again when it's not so cold.
I'd have to imagine if done at 55*F you could see 100fps or so improvement. Won't know about warmer temps until next summer..
Was the SS198 discontinued? and if so, when?

I think you have the types mixed up.Originally Posted by djv38

I would expect a little more than 100fps if FN was giving out the correct info.
I've never seen FN list the velocity of SS198LF anywhere. Only speculation at least on the civi side. I've seen places state 2200 fps, and as mentioned barring the cold weather, my results seem on par with what's been stated..
That is unless you've been told differently. The only other mention of velocity I find was by an LEO on here that got similiar results as I did (although he makes no mention of temp)
Ah, mil LEO restricted by FN. I'm assuming that means legal for civilians to purchase if a law enforcement agency wants to sell it I suppose.Originally Posted by jhs27275
