Well, I have been trying to decide which I way I should go on this issue, and would like some input.
If you reload you own ammunition
Do you carry factory ammo in you Concealed weapon?
or
Do you carry the reloads that you made yourself?
I have heard arguments from both sides but still cant make up my mind! So I want to see what the majority of you do here.
For me it falls down to my nosler 185gr JHP's or factory "defense" ammo.

Edit to Add: Do you reload? PLEASE ANSWER THIS QUESTION
DO YOU RELOAD?!
Carry reloads and leave the chamber empty.![]()
Not anymore! I always carry in the chamber now! It used to be on a case by case basis, but now I am running HOT all the time!Originally Posted by jhs27275

A comical argument I have heard, is "carry factories because if something goes click and you get shot you can go after that ammo company!" Meanwhile I am thinking if I am in a situation where I pulled my gun and got a click, I would most like be killed by the time I tried to re-rack

Use your reloads for range time. Stick to factory for business use.
I will never use reloads for carry.

Factory only.

I don't use reloads at all - but definitely not for self defense.
i'm thinking about reloading with subsonic. would that be less deafening or should it not be considered because of the weaker velocity? i've never fired subsonics without a suppressor before.

You talking 9mm?Originally Posted by a|ex

I'd generally avoid low velocity 9mm or 40 S&W as it would be more prone to jamming and yeah, I'll take the higher velocity in a self defense situation.

Factory ammo here in the CCW's. By the time I got done loading, I hadn't really saved that much $$$ in the handguns. FMJ's in the autos and JHP's or JSP's in the wheel-guns. Summer [for me] is time for the J frame (and or the NAA mini) and Winter is 'anything goes'.
