Just finished my 12 hours ccw class in 1 day

Yep, I sat through 10 hours of class and 2hours of range time. at least the instructors were cool. One was the an active LE and the other was the recently retired cop. It was mostly 8 hours of BSing and 2 hours of class.

Ok the range report. I only shot around 40 rounds(six rounds at a time) at about 15yds to 7yds. I used my FiveSeven and did pretty good. I did notice my first 6 rounds was a horrible group(right arm), but after my over zealous oiling from last night was worn off, the groups tightened up real quick. The last six shots(left side) were the LE's attempt with my FiveSeven. He really like the gun.

And yes, I passed of course

In TX, you have 50 rounds to fire, and 250 is the highest score you can get. The distances are 3,7 and 15 yards. If you score high enough at 3 and 7, you can theoretically miss all at 15 yards and still pass.

I've gotten 242, 243 and 247 in the past. My last time I took the class, I got a 250. I was surprised to get a perfect score. I used my P99 in that class.

They didn't even keep score, they were just looking for safety and ability to load, unload and hit the target. I don't think you could have failed unless you shot the instructor

I should have taken my Kimber TLE 45cal. but I had so much frickin ammo for my FiveSeven, (11,500 rounds ) That it was kind of silly not to take it. The kimber would have outshot the 57 all day long and then some.

Side note: It was funny as hell as we all heard some giggling and looked over, the two gay guys were doing below the belt shots and saying, take that bitch, I just shook my head and said to them "That just aint right"

I did the same thing while I was qualifying for the Texas CHL....The P99 is one of the most accurate handguns I have ever owned...
