Federal permit????? Could you expound on that please? Are you talking about credentials? Badge?

Never heard of a Federal Carry Permit before. Spent many many years with Uncle Sugar in all sorts of jobs - unless this is something new within the last couple of years. Not saying it does not exist, just never heard of one.......

I've had credentials that allowed me to conceal carry anywhere.....(like CIA,DIA,NSA, and others I won't mention - non FLEOs)

I carried concealed while in the military but there were always written orders that allowed me to do so even if I did not have the orders with me (Military Intelligence - I know, it's an oxymoron) and Open Carry (prisoner escort)

I know of people who have FLEO badges that allow concealed carry anywhere (FBI, DEA, ICE, BORDER PATROL, TREASURY, SECRET SERVICE, IRS, AIR MARSHAL and the MARSHAL SERVICE, etc, etc, etc .... I could fill a dozen pages with these acronyms and names)

But I surely have never ever seen a Federal Carry Permit for a civilian. How was your "dads" friend associated with the Government?

Meaning hes some type of law enforcement at the federal level. Something to do with drugs I believe. I didn't have a word for being able to carry anywhere and didn't know his title : p
