Tn. tourist (woman) wanted to check gun at WTC
This is a PERFECT reason why we need National CCW reciprocity.
The New York Post says 39-year-old Meredith Graves was visiting the memorial at the World Trade Center site on Dec. 22 and noticed a sign that said "No guns allowed."
The Post reports that Graves asked police where she could check her loaded pistol. She was arrested on a gun-possession charge.

Yup, this will probably mean a felony conviction for her and the loss of her second amendment rights.
Whether she is an airhead or not is really not the question. She thought that she was abiding by the law in wanting to know where to check her weapon but was unaware that her CCW has no validity in NY. She should have known better - read all laws in all states concerning CCW.
This is a clasic example of why we need national reciprocity.
A pure democracy operates by direct majority vote of the people. When an issue is to be decided, the entire population votes on it; the majority wins and rules. A republic differs in that the general population elects representatives who then pass laws to govern the nation.
