    Soft Case Suggestions?

I'm looking for a soft & well padded case for my rifle but am having problems with fit. The gun is a Rem 700 SPS .308 with a 20-inch bbl, Hogue over-mold stock, Harris 9-13" swiveling bipod, and a Nikon 6-18x40mm BDC scope.

Length is not a problem, but scope has rather tall turrets, and the bi-pod adds too much girth for the cases I've tried from Academy and Gander Mtn. I've got a Pelican 1750 Hard Case, but I don't need my gun in a vault just to get to the range.

Just wondering what you guys are using or if you have any suggestions.

I really don't see a need for a soft case, since I've got Kalispel and Pelican cases coming out of my ears. This coupled with the fact that the stuff goes in the back of my pick-up during transportation, I have peace of mind knowing that even if I get into an accident my stuff is protected.

BUT, if I were to pick a bag for my SPR, it would be this one. It's an Eagle.

    soft bag

+ 1 on the eagle bag if you thinking drag bag soft?f Tac Ops make the best out there IMHO . I like a drag bag as you can deploy it in dual roles trips to and from the range to protect it. And if you go to a good shooting school it will serve you well in the field and long walks to remote ranges and such. I could never get my hands on a multi cam Tac Ops drag bag I believe they are made in runs ,I use a cheaper Tac Force cost 90.00 shipped to Alaska used but new and has never let me down yet going on 2 years of hard use hunts ,range and travel lots of travel if I get 1 more year and zippers still work it will have payed for it self. Maybe next time a eagle or custom made off of the snipers hide site this guy makes custom bags that are really nice cant remember his name I think red man good luck as for hard case I live in the Alaska bush and plane trips are hard case only very rare for me regards Kim

I have yet to find a Tac Ops bag for sale...

And I really want one of their rifles too, but that's a different topic.

    Allen Rifle Bag

I have several of these, not particularly well made but I do not use them hard.

Here is my Tac Ops bag in Large. I was also having problems fitting a scoped AR10 in a bag. This one fits good. I found mine on Sniper Central'store. Looks like they only have smalls in stock now, but check back later. I love my bag, and have used it in two different rifle classes. It appears to be very robust, including the zippers. It comes with a shooting mat, shoulder straps, nose cone for dragging, and a pouch for a can.
