I'm looking at a TSR XP with the Hogue OD over-molded stock and was wondering about the stiffness of the stock.
Those of you with experience with these stocks: Are they rigid enough to stay off of the barrel while supported on a bi-pod? Is there any reason to avoid the Hogue stock?
I'm a newbie when it comes to bolt-actions, but I've owned an FNAR for a couple years. I'm looking for a bolt action in 308 Win. to pull double duty for target shooting and whitetail hunting. Should I be looking at a different rifle?
Thanks.

Does anyone have experience with Hogue stocks on any rifle?
Thanks.

I have a Hogue AR15 pistol grip, and a grip for my S&W model 60 revolver.![]()
I like them both. Doesn't help you with your question though.![]()

The Hogue stock on TSRs has an aluminum core that is used as bedding block and extends all the way out to the front.
The front sling attachment is screwed into the aluminum block.
Hope that helps.
Its plenty rigid for that. I have a TSR stock and I have yet had any issue shooting off a bipod.
Thanks guys! That's what I wanted to hear.
