Hi-I have experience with FALs and have a cherished Hi-Power but am new to FN bolt rifles. Found a JC Higgins mod 51 reasonably priced at a LGS. So far research indicates it's put together by High Standard, barrel date is 1955 and it has a chrome bore. Rifle is in excellent shape. Can anyone here help me identify the scope ring bases that came on it? They are dovetail bases and the front has a recoil lug, they are in good shape so if I could buy rings to fit them that would be great. Otherwise will probably install Talley bases and aperture sight for when not using an optic. Any other information regarding this rifle would be appreciated--Thanks.
