I've had better luck and much prefer a rear bag but not just a normal bag, I'm not a fan of an attached rear mono pod to my rifle.

This has been a very useful design and all I run for my rear rifle rests, just another option.

I like that bag. I use the Caldwell bag and find it difficult to position at times. That wedge design looks like the ticket

Same here, never seemed to work...... more seemed to fight it and that usually degraded my groups. I tried a few different bag designs and devices but after the wedge bag and using my sling tension the final pieces came together and my groups became more consistent and smaller.

Hopefully the OP can track down what is going on, my suspicions is something internal the scope got knocked loose. I'd try some basic things first like putting the rifle in a vise and if the groups still inconstant I'd swap out scopes, the hit focused to the turret is something I've seem screw up a few good scopes.

I only have 1 scope and the only vise I have is a cleaning vise which is not heavy enough...

Stinger monopod from Whidden Gunworks works with McMillan stocks,
replaces the spacers and appears like it would work. My preference is
bipod in front and a squeeze or wedge bag in the back. I am using a BALS Mk1
Gen 2 that i got from SKD tactical and works well for me. Good luck
you've got a very nice setup there.

Thank you for all the feedback and suggestions. I took the rifle out again this morning and... there's nothing wrong with the rifle or the scope... I took my time, not playing with different grip and stuff and the group was much better... still... need a lot more practice.
