I've come across several people telling me they have an SA58, but each time they've just been STG-58s with SA58 receivers.
I'm for sure not an FAL expert, but is there any really visible way to tell them apart other than physically looking to see that the parts share serials?
Oh Saaaaaaaarge, someone needs you!![]()

Check the barrel. If it has a serial number on it (under the handguard) it's an StG parts kit gun, which DSA does assemble today. An "SA-58" will have a U.S. manufactured barrel BUT, can also include surplus StG components as well. Toss some pictures up of the bolt (top view), carrier (top view) lower (left side), just above the pistol grip, and we'll go from there.

Oh, and DSA doesn't offer a "DSA" stamped steel lower.
