Streamlight TLR-2 light/laser combo. Viridian green lasers have failed under fire -- Streamlights do not.

What would be the best ways to learn how to utilize a strobe/light? I assume there could be multiple techniques available, and which to use would be based on the situation. Would anyone happen to have a write up, or share some experience on how to properly utilize a light/strobe?
Nothing good can ever come from staying with normal people.
I have the TLR-2 and love it.. also have a TLR-3 (no laser or strobe) on my M&P 40 and love it..DSC00096.jpg
You can take training classes in handling "low light situations" -- Sig Sauer Academy offers them, among others.
Here's an article to read to get you started...

Streamlight TLR-2 Laser/Light combo is the best...in my opinion.
You can also opt for the Streamlight TLR-1 -- light with no laser -- and you can buy red, blue or infrared light filters for them. The red is great for moving at night without backlighting yourself, so you can see where you place you feet and not stumble. The blue is good for task lighting and great for blood tracking.
You can also use them on your carbines -- SCAR 16Ss Light Show, and if you look closely, you will see the new Surefire Saint Minimis headlamp eyeballing you:

Clyde, where did you buy your colored filters for the TLR-1?

Hey guys, been reading up on lights/lasers like crazy. Both on here and on other forums and I am having a hard time deciding on what I want to toss on my soon to arrive Five seveN. I'd really like to have a green laser so it actually can be seen during daylight shoots, with a light. Which I believe just leaves me with the Viridian C5L? But the reviews greatly vary. Opticplanet has it listed with 4/5 stars and 60 some people reviewing it. While research on here says the buttons are less than desired, and the battery cover is garbage? Whats really the final verdict on them? I have sometime before I have to decide though, I want to get use to the gun and still needing to save some cash.
I have a Streamlight TLR-2 on my Five-seveN, and I love it.
But if you want a green laser, I would save your dollars and splurge on the X5L Gen 2 if I were you. I was very close to buying that one last week, but held onto my money for now.![]()

Does that fair better than the C5L? Size wise, how well does it fit under the Five seveN?
Google "x5l gen 2 five seven". You'll see two very helpful links right at the top.![]()
