So guys, whats the take on weapon lights?
I been looking into the:
Insight WX150
Streamlight TLR-2
Surefire X400
Mainly my make it or break it deal is a powerful light beam, with strobe feature. I think that if I have a intense light beam with the strobe action, the offender will be stunned long enough for me to be ready for whatever he may want to do against me. I think it will give me that critical and necessary time to make sure I stay on top.
Laser combo would be nice, but it will be expensive and unless there is a great light with a strobe feature and the laser is GREEN, then I wont waste my time...
Thanks all...
Then take the TLR-2 and X400 off your list as they are RED lasers.Originally Posted by Hex0rz
If you don't need a laser then I would put the TLR-1 and X300 up there.
I like the X300 myself and it is very bright, appears much more so than what's on paper.
Its also feels more quality than the Streamlights and Insights, IMO.
With that said though, you can't go wrong with a Streamlight or Insight light. I have them all.
Viridian X5L

It has a strobe light+green laser, and I think even the laser can pulse![]()
I have the insight XTI it is very bright (will light up a whole room and has strobe.) It also fits the 5.7 really well with the end of the light just behind the end of the slide.
It's always darkest just before everything go's black.
It has 3 speed settings for the laser pulse, plus the steady setting.Originally Posted by PainKillaX
It's not green, but I took the Sig STL-900L off another pistol and it fits great on the longer rail. The laser is red and it is dead on at 25 yards at the range. The light is 130 lumens (seems brighter) and has a great strobe feature I got it for about $170. I have the Laser-Max green laser on my AR-15. I found that cheaper than most green's at about $285, but no light. It is very compact if you are looking for a great green pulse laserOriginally Posted by Hex0rz

Viridian C5L is my favorite. I've had the Streamlight TLR-2 w/ strobe, a Sig STL-900L I picked up for $40, and a green Unimax, but in the end the C5L won. I have the Unimax on something else, but the other 2 are too big for my taste unless it's on a Desert Eagle or something.
"Treat me good, I'll treat you better; treat me bad, I'll treat you worse."
The Viridian is the best laser/light combo out there. Both the C5L and the X5L will fit the Five-seveN.
But more important than what light you put on your gun is that you learn how to use it properly. Most people just throw a light on there and take it for granted that they know what to do with it, and that is usually not the case.
I have the Streamlight TLR-1 strobe model I like it alot on mine and its super bright.
