    Newer factory cases

    Greetings everyone.

Lurking for a few weeks now, first post. I'll have my new five-seven this coming Monday.

A question on the newer factory supplied case. The one with the blue interior.

Does anyone know if that molded blue plastic interior can be removed and replaced with dense egg carton foam?

    Cheers everyone!

    Mike

I am sure it can be "carved/melted" out, but I would just get another case and save the FN one. You never know if you want to sell it, or just keep it down the road

Yeah, probably a good idea. I just have this overwhelming need to 'customize' things to make them mine.

    Cheers!

Its the sweetest shooter I own. Groups are 1/2 the size of the ones I see with my compensated .40 cal. That is - actual side by side comparison shooting, measured targets.

+1 I just got mine the other day and the blue part pulls out (I tucked all the documentation and junk behind it then popped it back in. On the upper portion there are 4 divots that seem to actually be used to replace the blue portion once it's removed. The only thing holding it in are a couple tabs in each corner that snap in under the edges of the outer box.

I haven't tried my Five-seveN case but my fnp-45 has the same blue interior and its removable so I'm sure the Five-seveN one is as well. That being said, I'd just buy a pelican or SKB case that has the pick n pluck foam. That's what i did for my Five-seveN and I love it. Ill post the pics as soon as I figure out how to post pictures!
