FN Five-seveN used at Ft Hood???

I read on another forum that the one of the weapons used in Ft Hood's incident was a Five-seveN. Has anyone heard or read about this?

NBC News reported he used the FN 5.7 pistol.

It's despicable that the gun-grabbers use any tragedy to promote their disarmament agenda. A firearm was also use to end this madness, though that will be brushed aside by the media.

the brady campaign has already started with their mumbo jumbo. Spouting about how they wanted to ban this gun years ago.
I'm not trying to make light of the situation at hand, but a Glock or XD or any similiar gun would have been just as devastating. factory 3X rd mags for Glocks, and add on Mags extensions for the XD. I highly doubt any of the soliders killed were wearing any body armor at the time..

they're going to use every possible tool to make it seem as it wast the gun's fault, as silly as this sounds. Either way, doesn't look good for the 5-7

A terrible tragedy it is. But, it does show you the lethality of this particular firearm that he was able to kill 13 and wound 40.

I don't know. How many of those people wounded would have been killed if another firearm was used? We'll never know. Anyway this is very bad publicity for FN even though I am sure that he could have picked any other firarm and achieved the same or worse result. The Five-Seven is a high profile weapon (and imported) so I am sure poeple will use this to ban this weapon.

He was not that good of a shot.
The rounds he used were not that effective.
