I gues I did sound confusing, ea cover are posted on their site at around 90 dollars each the other search on the Internet showed the toy ones also , after posting here with those 2 links I saw another thread and read it and saw everyone bashing EA. the answer I needed was how to get a replace to so if my wife, who wants a pink one, gets her cover the cheapest way to do it duro coat one from FN or get the hello kitty from EA. If it gets my wife and older daughter to shoot more than out P22 than I will try either one. From what I see the cover from FN and a pink or purple duro coat paint kit is the cheaper way to go.
A pure democracy operates by direct majority vote of the people. When an issue is to be decided, the entire population votes on it; the majority wins and rules. A republic differs in that the general population elects representatives who then pass laws to govern the nation.
Have you ever duracoated something? Just a word of caution. It WILL look like complete garbage if the gun gets used anywhere remotely close to "often". I dont know why you would want to take a $1200+ gun and do something to it that is going to make it look ratty. This is jut my opinion of course. Duracoat is garbage.
As for slide covers, Stainless and Ti is too heavy. I have had a few slide designs drawn up and the only thing you can make them out of is aluminum. Anything heavier and you will start having cycling issues.
Blessed be the Lord my strength which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight.
The slide cover is mostly cosmetic cover.
Guess I'm a little late in joining this thread. Depending on your design, titanium could be too heavy. If it's an exact copy of the original, you'll probably be okay. The one I designed was heavier duty and, based on the info I could come up with, titanium would have caused the gun to short stroke.
I had mine quoted using 6061 T6 aluminum and it would have cost over $800.00...needless to say I didn't have it built. I've tried finding other shops to quote it, but for now my design will have to stay on paper.
