Holsters and the blade front sight.

Just purchased a Five Seven and love it. I put on a Viridian X5L flashlight / laser lump and that is a great combination for the gun. But... finding a holster is difficult. With the X5L's green laser, which is visible in daylight, I'm thinking about removing or shortening the front sight. I've read that an R&R on the front sight isn't all that difficult (I'm a car guy with tools) so are there options for lower / sleeker front sights?

With the adjustable rear sight most of the way down, it looks like I can whittle about 1/8" off the front sight blade, then do a new white dot on it. That would make it easier to find a holster.

I'm not sure that I want an IWB with this pistol, it's pretty big, so recommendations gratefully accepted.

There are a couple Kydex custom holster manufacturers here in Las Vegas. Is that all I need to clear the stock front sight (and accept the X5L)?

    Thanks,
    Mike

My IWB for my FiveseveN was made by Winthrop Holsters in Ohio. Don't have the laser light but I am pretty sure that they can help you if you want a holster that will work without mods.

No problems with the front blade sight with this holster.

I contacted Winthrop Holsters to see if they can do something for a 57 with the Viridian X5L. Thanks for the help!!
