What is typically included in an armorer's manual that isn't in the regular manual? Does it just have a ton of detail on the function/maintenance of the gun? Or would it go so far as to include tips and tricks on accurizing and/or other performance tune-ups?

Normally they tell you everything about taking the firearm apart, repair procedures, and putting it back together again - and cover the operation in some detail.

They will include all factory-approved cleaning and parts replacement techniques. They may also include bulletins on known issues.

They usually also include factory exploded diagrams with factory part numbers, and sometimes ordering information and prices for those parts.

They may - in some cases - include information on factory-approved tuning procedures, but this is usually limited to factory-approved and factory-supplied additional or optional parts. For example, Glock tells you about things like the NY1 and NY2 trigger springs.

And it explains in detail how it works and why it works the way it does.

It names all the little parts and what they do by themselves and in connection with the other parts to function in specific ways, complete with drawings and diagrams.

After reading the armorers manual you can have a conversation about a weapon and actually know what you are talking about because you'll understand it.
