Shoots low, what options do I have?
I've tried different ammo options, and in the end... its all too low.
So... options?
Love my 57, as long as I don't mind hitting 1-3" low depending on range...
I have the same issue. Its the 3-dot style sights that I have trouble with. When I use other styles, I don't have the same issue.
The pistols are sighted in using SS195, try that if you haven't.
If it's an adjustable sight model adjust the sights;
If it's a fixed sight model and you can't get used to it trade for the other model.
Most of the shooting low problems are corrected with practice as the FsN takes some getting used to.
I have gotten used to it. For my 197 practice, I just sight my front sight slightly above the rear sight--actually it is easier for me to acquire the target both in terms of accuracy and speed. Have yet to really confirm "high/lo/ontarget" with 195 or Protector.
If I remember that target correctly, most all of the EA ammo will shoot higher than SS192/195...
The fixed sight gun is set up and designed for the 195 ammo. If you are shooting 197 it will shoot low.
A pure democracy operates by direct majority vote of the people. When an issue is to be decided, the entire population votes on it; the majority wins and rules. A republic differs in that the general population elects representatives who then pass laws to govern the nation.
Your physics are sound but the scale you're working on isn't going to give you anywhere near a drop you would notice notice based on different ammo speeds at handgun distances. You'd either have to be talking about ammo with a 1000fps spread, or shooting your pistol at 100 yards to realize a drop in inches from bullet to the next.

Run some numbers to see. Maybe I'm wrong... it happens. But I think that the effect of different handgun ammo on POI is so miniscule that the only people who should care about are bullseye shooters. It's probably somthing that will right itself as your teqnique with that specific weapon is more practiced.
you're almost certainly flinching as you pull the trigger. don't blame the gun until you absolutely certain it isn't you.

Not flinching. I did read up on the low shooting before I purchased the pistol, I just assumed there would be some sight option available... which after looking... and looking... I gave up and came here.
The 1-3" is not a variable, the drop is consistent, its just that I have never measured the distance... probably should have said... 1.75" low... but...
Unsure what I will do, probably do what I have been doing for the last 6 months... just enjoy the tight grouping and smile as the shots go low.
Thanks for responses, its nice to know that there are people out there to lend a hand.
