Cost of the grip plus $200 to ATF for the tax stamp.

    Is it really worth it?

Isn't an AOW tax stamp closer to 5 bucks.....?

for you to make a AOW its $200 stamp ,to transfer a AOW its $5.
If you have a friend thats a Class II dealer get him to install the grip make it a AOW and transfer it to you for $5 but it take 6 months to get it back lol

I don't think he has an FFL, just access to all sorts of nice toys from neighboring FFL's. He's not Russian. He's from somewhere down south.

IIRC he used a bipod, which is okay to attach to the front of a pistol?

    I don't think I would.

    So does S&W. I think bipod=OK, vertical grip=AOW.

The device FPS had was a bipod, hence the reason for him extending it. one could easily argue a split bipod could be held like a VFG. Regardless to me it's a gray area, that I would not venture in myself.

Hey Y'all: OK I will express my ignorance on this whole issue of AOW etal, but how in the world can a lousy "extended handle" (and that is all it is) on an existing handgun that is not being modified, be anything other than a "handle"? How does it all of a sudden become some kind of terrible death instrument? This is positively insane. My initial question was prompted by the video where I perceived an opportunity to be able to hold the 57 more stable and, perhaps, enjoy its use at the longer distance for shooting hobby sake.
