Np, I've done this alot on other forums that I frequent and see a need. Part of my real job is technical writing. Hopefully it helps someone in the future. I may do one on the FS2000 if I have time. I have a 3-hour test to complete today so I gotta re-focus.

Oh and a paper to write. All before class on Wednesday. Gotta love going back to college..

Seem to be missing a lot of steps there. Should add:

1: use .40S&W brush and brake/carb cleaner to remove any polymer/lacquer coating that can and does build up in the chamber.

2: The slide and frame still need to be cleaned as well. The breach face gets really dirty...

Excellent on all counts! P.S...LOVE my five seven. Suppressed shooting subs with a Spectre makes it even MORE fun!

Feel free to add those steps. In this case, I had already cleaned it a week before I did this tutorial. I had already cleaned the breech with a gun cleaning toothbrush and Q-tips. The slide was wiped down as well. So I didn't hit those areas again. But as I stated, after a while of ownership and use, you get to know where all the crud gets. I'd like to add the part about polishing the chamber too.

Now on that note, for example, when I received my Romanian AK47; first thing I did was clean it. It had all kinds of crud (almost mud like) around the breech and bolt. I had to dig it out with a metal tooth pick. I'm not sure if it was some sort of protective coating or what. Looked like tar to me. I doubt it would have ejected the spent brass due to the gummed up'edness.

The .40 is just for the chamber.

    For the barrel a 5.56/.223, 5.7x28, or .22 boresnake.
    OneJZSupra thanked this.
