I had heard that they changed composite material on the slide do to possible heat/melting issues under heavy fire conditions

As he reported on the other site, the slide itself is now one piece instead of two welded together, the new slide cover with forward serrations, and combat adjustable sights.

Is it me or does that look like an interchangeable backstrap as well? Front serrations & customizable backstraps? I'm in love.

Yeah I just looked at my USG and it's got the same elliptical markings on the backstrap...my bad. Either way +10 for more serrations!

I was at the NRA show 2 years ago. FN said they were coming out with a practice target round then. It is still now. I would hold some feet to the fire. The other round that was mentioned FINALLY came out last year is AE 40gr ers...

Also aren't they also possibly sinking their ship with restricting its manufacture? It might come a time when we can't afford it and lack of competition makes it into the obsolete catergory...

The AE is the practice/target round.

Ok, I forget to list that two different rounds were coming. Don't exactly remember what they were but one was definitely a practice rounds. Will have to check my old posts... edit probably coming soon...

EDIT: Target round and a V-Max competitor I was told 2 years ago. Got it straight now.

AAaaawww....... they got rid of the gray contrasting controls! (Which I know a lot of folk thought looked silly anyway and painted black.....)

I wonder if FNH will be selling aftermarket replacement rear sights? or even entire slide packages, seems like that would be so very easy given that the barrel/spring assembly pops right out.

So this is the official MK2 FsN, according to their website- FN Five-seveNŽ MK2. (Meh.) I haven't even gotten to fire my MK1 yet, Michigan has been too frakking cold the last month.

Is there a reason that everyone lately seems to be adding forward serrations on the slide? Is this a tactical thing that I have missed out on?
