“These are the times that try men's souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country; but he that stands it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman." -Thomas Paine
You ever get the threaded barrel?
Sent from a Droid
i had asked FNH if i could buy one for my FNP 45 and they said the tac barrel will not work with the non tac model

I'm not sure why they would tell you that unless they simply don't want to sell a threaded barrel to everyone with a USG.
But I've traded barrels between my USG and Tac several times. They are identical, other than the longer, threaded part of the barrel, and can be swapped at will.

yea they probably don't want everyone buying them for the USG which is BS but o well i have been waiting a long time for one to pop up

That's quite amusing, when I called and asked the same thing, I was told that I had to send the whole gun in to them to have the Tac barrel "fitted" to my FNP for an extra charge. Seems to me there's some "funny business" going on at FNH! The rep also denied any WWB ammo feeding difficulty's with the FNP-45's, said all factory spec ammo would function without issue and if it didn't I should send it in for repair.
Wow sounds to me like FN has people in service that don't own, use, or understand FN products?? Maybe they are just experiencing some growing pains with the transition between the FNP and the FNX?
Called FNH USA today and ordered a threaded barrel for my FNP 45 USG. I spoke to Rita in the parts dept., told her I wanted a threaded barrel for my non-tactical model, and she never mentioned anything about the threaded barrel not being compatible with my gun. The barrels are still backordered, though, and from the way she talked they have been waiting on them for several months already. Still, I went ahead with it because I'd rather have a factory threaded barrel than aftermarket.
I've had a non-theaded FNP-45 barrel on back order since August. When I initially ordered it, I tried first by email. When I didn't get a reply after a few days I called and the parts department put in my order. The next day I got a reply to my email saying the barrels weren'y for sale. I replied saying Parts had placed the order for me. The response was something to the effect of "oh, I guess they do sell them then". I've checked on the back order a few times and there has never been an estimated date for restock. I really don't know if it will ever be filled.
