With that in mind, the casings are ejecting with no problems. Otherwise I'd be having FTEs. I'm not sure a casing can be ejected with the chamber being open halfway or so. So the slide must be traveling all the way back...right?

You may be right about the mag spring. I've used some mags this time that I haven't before (they are FN brand new mags that came with the gun though). I'll have to test this.

I also have a video with the failure to lock back, I just didn't post it. But I was shooting one handed, so don't think I'm hitting the slide release.
This sucks. It was either between this, SR9c and Glock 19/26. Damn it FN!
Agreed. Thanks for the clarification. Rules out an ammo problem. Guess it's time for a call to FNH USA...sorry for your problems. That is certainly unnerving.

Hehe...thanks. I'm going to call them on Monday, but hopefully this time the rep is not going to have a hint of mockery in his voice. Last time I called, it was like he scoffed at the idea that there is something wrong with it.

Please let us know how it goes, Aggrotech.

Been getting mixed reviews of Browning/FNH's customer service since Bob 'retired' last year.

I called FN last Monday and described the issue to them & told them what the gun shop said. He said that it does not sound normal at all & that I should send the gun back to them to have it looked at. I ask him if i had to pay to ship it back and he said that he would email me a return shipping label. So I'm just in a waiting game now to see what they say & if the problem gets fixed. They said that it could take 2-5 weeks before I get my gun back

That is the standard response time. They are usually faster than that on turn arounds.

A pure democracy operates by direct majority vote of the people. When an issue is to be decided, the entire population votes on it; the majority wins and rules. A republic differs in that the general population elects representatives who then pass laws to govern the nation.

So I don't start another thread, do they still provide a shipping label or pay for shipping for that matter? Just read a post saying they didn't since Bob left...just wondering.

In his post, Jeremy05 indicated that they were sending him a shipping label (see quote above in post #35).
    Aggrotech thanked this.

Just called them, the rep said to go ahead and send it in. I asked about the shipping label and I have to send it in and they "determine if it's warranty and go from there." Looks like I'm paying for shipping. Yay!

Does anyone know if these issues correspond to particular production run of FNP9s? I just got one too but haven't been able to get to the range yet and I'm hoping I don't run into these issues. The majority of feedback has been positive so I'm hopeful
