    Just "pulled the trigger".

On a new FNP 45 USG with Matte stainless slide. It should be here Monday or Tuesday. I can't wait to get it in and put some rounds downrange. Ordered it yesterday and this weekend is dragggggggging by. I will be shooting some 230 FMJ whatever is available other than WWB next weekend probably. I have decided to carry Winchester Ranger T 230 +p JHP for home defense. Hope it lives up to everything I've read about it. I will be posting the obligatory pictures and range report ASAP.

Run 50-100 of the Ranger T's through the gun before you rely on them for home defense. My 45 USG had some feeding issues with 200 gr +p Speer Gold Dots, but worked fine with 230 gr +p Corbon and 200 +p Hornaday TAP.

Yeah I always run at least a full box of any round through a new pistol before I decide I can rely on it. Thanks very much for the advice though. I swear I'm like a kid waiting on Christmas morning when I get a new pistol.

I know the feeling. I have a lower parts kit waiting for me at my apartment Monday. But my upper will be a little while longer (I hate waiting).

Agreed 100%. When I finally decide I want to buy something, I want it right that second if possible.
