As I posted previously I just ordered a new FNP 45 and I'm considering trying the pistol in a shoulder holster. I've never owned a shoulder rig as I live on the Gulf Coast and we just don't wear jackets that much of the time. If I can find a good rig I may carry the 45 on cold days when I can wear a jacket but I'll probably be sticking with my PX4 Compact for most of my carry days. Just looking for some suggestions from people that have already been down this road. Thanks

I use a "vertical" Galco Miami Classic made for a Glock 21. I have several of these shoulder holsters for different pistols and like them the best. Mine has flaps to snap over the mags in the pouch and is very tight to snap with the 15 round mags because of the base plates. The open top mag pouch might be better but since the mag bodies on the FNP are slightly smaller then Glock 21 mags, they might not fit tight enough. I use Glock21 single mag pouches also and put a couple strips of adhesive velcro in the pouches to tighten them up abit. The Galco's are not inexpensive but I find them to be the most comfortable.
trust me when i tell you this....HIGHNOON holsters makes the best leather holster money can buy. they are not cheap... a little more than GALCO but it's worth every red cent.
