    Hello

What does FN recommend for service intervals or part replacement for the FNS9?

Dude ! It's an FNS...After you have dropped it in the mud 500 times, shot 400,000 rounds thru it, run over it with the truck - twice, pounded on it with a hammer, shot it with your shotgun, left it at the bottom of the ocean for three years, and dropped it from a plane at 32,000 feet going 700 mph...then just clean it. You'll be good to go...Carry on...

RE: page 38 of your owner's manual...
NOTICE! YOUR PISTOL SHOULD BE INSPECTED EVERY 2000
ROUNDS AND/OR ONCE A YEAR BY A QUALIFIED GUNSMITH OR
THE FNH USA PRODUCT SERVICE CENTER BECAUSE DAMAGE,
WEAR AND CORROSION ARE NOT ALWAYS VISIBLE FROM THE
OUTSIDE. LAW ENFORCEMENT AND MILITARY PERSONNEL
SHOULD CONTACT THEIR DEPARTMENTAL ARMORER WHO
WILL INSPECT THE PISTOL ON A YEARLY BASIS.

There's no way I'm going to take any gun to a "qualified gunsmith" or send it to the "FNH USA Product Service Center" once a year and/or after every 2000 rounds...

I think that's called CYA lawyer talk...

Every 5000 miles, same as when you have its mags rotated.

I guess that if you use Mobil 1 to lube your gun, you can go to 6 years or 6000 rounds!

Would be nice if FN only offered recoil springs so you could change them out every 5-6 thousand rounds, like every other manufacturer.
