Seeing them dipped and seeing them much later, after dipping, may be informative. You should be able to tell us how the dip holds up under use in a couple of months. Keep us informed!
Will do. I didn't need to dip the barrel because it isn't seen when installed in the gun but I did it for practice and to have all the pieces match. I was impressed at how durable this stuff is. I had to sand some of it on the tip of the barrel to get it to fit back in the slide and it took quite a bit of sanding to get it off.
From what I've read it's pretty much permanent. I have two pistols and an ar15 lined up for dipping since my friends saw this one.
