The Trijicon HD sights are a quality upgrade. I moved all my Glocks to them over the holidays. The FNSc will wear them eventually, but I don't mind the stock sights enough to make it a priority.

I know some folks have swapped the mag release button on the compact for the full size mag button. I was initially going to do the same, but it's become a non issue (for me) with use. But it looks a fairly easy/cheap mod if desired.

Other than those two things, there isn't much I can think of. The FNSc is one of the best out of the box pistols I've put my hands on. It's just gotten better the more rounds I've put through it. Pair it up with a good holster, and it's a hell of a carry gun.

I totally agree with you regarding the FNSc. I recently purchased one in FDE, and I can't believe how functional and accurate it is. I was easily able to perform head shots at 25 yrds, with the pinky magazine, and with a full size magazine, it is even easier. Definitely a under rate pistol, but not for long.
It has already become my favorite shooting pistol, and soon to be my carry pistol once I find a good IWB holster.

The n8tactical is also rated for the Fns9c.

The big drawback to this gun is minimal aftermarket parts- but there are many qualified minds here and sure there are some "tricks or techniques" to employ.
Apart from changing the sights and swapping out the mag release, pretty much anything you do will void the warranty. FNs are NOT Glocks. They are much more complicated and refined.

I have two FNS-40s (a standard and a long slide.) I also have a Glock 38. I've had other Glocks. In my hands I find the .40 FNS guns much more shootable than similar .40 Glocks I have owned (22s, 23s, or 35s). I shoot the FNS-40s better than any .40s I've owned ( including S&W 3rd Gen, M&P Pros, SIGs, CZ-75s, a CZ-40B, and a Beretta 96). Only the CZ-40B shot as well, for me.. I much prefer FNH guns to Glock.

I would state, however, that "more complicated" is not necessarily a desirable attribute or step up,, and whether the FN guns are "more refined" than Glocks is open to debate. Why did you choose those traits?

I think FNs are great guns, but there is a simple elegance to the Glock design that other guns have yet to match. (My Ruger SR9c has almost as many parts in the fire control system -- almost in the striker assembly alone -- than you'll find in an entire Glock! And I really like the SR9c!) My biggest dislike of the Glock design is the trigger feel (easily improved with inexpensive after-market parts) and grip angle. Hard to beat Glock's mag capacity and the low cost of good quality factory mags! And parts from other sources are cheap and easily found -- all a function of a large Glock owner base.

The N82 is what I'm using at present for my FNS-C. Works perfectly.
