    Fns 40

Hi I'm new to this board and also a first time FNS 40 owner. I Have always had glock 9mm's and this is my first fns pistol. I caught this one sale at Aim Surplus for $339 w/ night sightsand hope it will be a good one. If anyone has any experience with the fns 40 your reviews/opinions would be appreciated.

Welcome to the family 😁 I Love mine!!! It goes jogging with me, every time I run outdoors. It fits perfectly in my jogging holster. Shoots very well, better than me.

Welcome to the family. I loved mine. I did part with it in a trade with plans to re-aquire it at a better price. I spent almost 600.00 on mine a few years back.

I traded as Glock 35 with all sorts of Upgrades (gotten in trade) and a S&W M&P 40 with a full set of Apex Upgrades, for a FNS-40 and a FNS-40L. In terms of dollar values, I took a beating, especially since FNH lowered the sales prices of the FNS guns. But I'm very pleased with the guns. I tried the Glock 35 and the S& M&P .40 for a while and couldn't shoot either one worth a crap. It was me, 'cause others could drive tacks with both guns. The FNS-40s shoot very well for me, and I picked up a 9mm conversion barrel for the FNS-40 (not the long slide.)

I hear that Apex will soon offer a trigger kit for the FNS line, and the trigger is the only thing I find a bit wanting in these guns -- but I think their stock triggers are as good as my Glocks with Ghost kits installed. I think you'll be happy with your gun. Mine were used, so there was some trigger break in. (The Long Slide had trigger work done out of state before I got it.) You may have to work with the trigger until it smooths up. You Tube has guides showing how to improve the triggers of the FNS guns.

I love mine! Going on 700 rounds and not one failure of any kind. Ellis county firearms has 3 different versions of the fns40 for $370.00 and below.

Congrats on the gun and great price.
The FNS was my 3rd experience with FN. Bought a SCAR. Played with my brother's 5.7, and then i grabbed the FNS 40 as well.
Everyone seems to love the recoil, as do i.
The Trigger and the stippling seem to be common gripes. I love the stippling. I am mediocre on the trigger.

I'm super pumped to grab the aftermarket trigger coming out for it. I also own a Shield in .40 and a Glock 23 (40). The FNS is by and large my favorite handgun that I own.
