Held one at my local FFL and . . . I just have to have one. I LOVED the way it felt, both the handle, and the trigger. I'm not usually one that has to have a new gun, but this one is totally different. Anyone else wanting one?
I want a FNS-9 got to have one is another story. Right now the FNS is on the very short list for new 9mm pistols I am looking at getting. Although I will be waiting until the FNS comes without the safety. Really would like to know when they are going to sell them with the extended slide and barrel.
I had a PPQ FE and sold it when someone offered me more money for it then I had in it. Before that was a Glock 19. Just cant find anything that I really trust and fits good. I wouldn't by a 9mm Glock anything right now until they have unscrewed themselves. Have you tried the PPQ.
I always tell people who are wanting to buy a pistol to not worry about caliber or size or anything else. But Start with what feels good and they can handle the main controls trigger mag release. Then worry next about size, are you going to carry it, or is it for the home or vehicle. Then worry about caliber which will fall into place after you get the gun that feels right for you.
I need to swing by my LGS and see if they have one.

I have to agree on how well the FNS fits in my hand. My hands are not huge (but my shoes are) and the FNS fits perfectly. Much better than my Glocks and the trigger on the FNS is also far better. Just my two cents.

FNS compact: FNH USA
Wonder when it will be available. From the specs, it seems like it will have a relatively short grip and be similar in size to the M&Pc. I'd be kind of interested in this one.

Supposedly, the compacts will be out around the same time the safety-less version will be...April-ish (not holding my breath).
It is nice to see the FNH has the info about the FNS pistols on the website now, though. Supposed to get my hands on the FNS-40 today for a little range time. Looking forward to it.

Talked to a local gun shop owner today that went to SHOT 2012 this year. His first in years he said. I haven't talked to him since right after thanksgiving.
He he told me that one of the FN reps indicated the over all consensus he was hearing about the ambi-safety levers was, "Make the levers bigger, or Get rid of them". Also that the safety-LESS model would be coming.
I would say that says something. He got a few in today, said he was buying very few until the ones without the safety start showing up. He said he will buy more when he sells the ones he has.
Funny thing he hadn't heard a thing about the Compacts until I told him. The only thing they told him at shot was a extended barrel/slide model would be out early spring timeframe.

Really want to get my hands on this. I think the extra 1/2" over the g26 will fit me perfect....not to mention another 2 rounds and a few more ounces to help keep it from workin its way out of my grip.....What has 2 thumbs, a birthday in April and is probably too excited?????? <THIS GUY!!!!!!![]()
