    FNS Subcompact

Any news on the compacts? or Supposed subcompact single stack? Since the M&P shield just came and the XD slim will be out soon. I want a smaller FN.

Haven't even heard any rumors about a single-stack.

The Compact was supposed to be out late this month, but I don't see that happening. Not even any pics on their website, yet.

the lady that I talked to at OMB guns said that the compact "will be" available June-July time frame. I'm not sure if that's for the rest of us regular joe's or LE's only, so take that with a grain salt.

I haven't heard of a single stack either, just a double stack smaller version.

FNH-USA really missed the boat by not coming up with a single stack compact/sub-compact. S&W will now own that market because of the price point of the M&P Shield. I held one on Saturday. It's very nice, though I think I'd still take a Walther PPS over it at this time. The S&W needs another year under it's belt to be proven, IMHO.

    Blitz,

That PPS is very nice.Me and my girl went out looking and I ended up with the PPQ and she got the PPS both in 9mm for carry.PPS is nice for ccw and shoots great imo.

Dan, c'mon? What about the earlier post about the single stack striker fired gun that CB hinted at? Is that project dead? I remember specfically he commented it resembled a Taurus slim 709. Thanks.

That was a 45. Haven't heard anything about it in close to 2 years.

I think that's a misconception. The Shield is built on the M&Pc platform almost identically. There's little that needs to be proven in that regards.

I picked one up last week as soon as my LGS had one. It's an amazing little gun, especially for the price.

But I would definitely agree that FNH is missing the boat on the new single-stack compact / sub-compact niche that's about to explode.
