Hopefully this post has not been covered thus far as I am unable to locate it...Today I went to order my first FN by ordering the FN-Tactical in FDE but the dealer said they are discontinuing the Fnp for the fnx tactical model. Does anyone know anything about the fnx tactical model? He also stated he had a used tactical with approx 1500 rounds through it for $800...is this a decent deal? I'm worried about problems with early models as far as ammo it will take and how many rounds the gun is good for. My intentions for the gun is to set up with an rmr for competition use and eventually suppress it. Any help anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated!!!
1500rds is nothing..... Not a bad deal (unless you're going to have to add Tax / transfer fees etc....)
I picked up a new FNP FDE for $925 last week on gunbroker.
No transfer fees not sure about tax...I'll check. Thanks!!
The issues were in the mags with WWB jamming in the mag. New mags can be bought.
From what I've heard, they're just renaming the FNP-45's to FNX's with nothing really changing. Just an evolution of name (as the FNX's were based off of the FNP 45 originally, and it would probably be more confusing to change the FNX to FNP...)

Who did you guys order from at that price, sounds as it may be a better option?
and it seemed like no one over at the FNP threads would believe be when I say the FNX is an imporoved FNP....
I've been vindicated.

I just spoke with FN and they stated they have no intention to stop making the Tactical...
Like the djv38 stated, it's just a name change. They already make an FNX .45 tactical, its jsut currently called FNP still.....
