RMR for FNX Tactical .45 - dot color

    I want to get a dual-illuminated RMR.

For those who have them, which color do you find best in terms of visibility?

Sorry, the dual-illuminated RMR does not have a red dot option. Please ignore that option in the poll.

I prefer green dots if I can get them small enough. I prefer a 3.5-4 MOA dot.
My buddy liked red dots and I had a green dot, during blazing sun or dusk
the green was always easy to pick up. My eyes don't pick up red as fast as green.
After using my green he wants green as well.

Thanks for your reply. Alas, the dual-illuminated RMRs do not have dots smaller than 7 MOA.

Green is scientifically proven to be more visible to the human eye, which is why you can easily see green laser beams versus just the dots of a red laser.

Amber is going to be a PITA to pickup in bright sunlight. I'm an RSO at our club and I get to see a lot of cool toys on the weekends.
Amber doesn't do it for me at all. It's very hard to pickup in bright sunlight.
I would never get one after trying a few out that people have had, but that's my opinion.

That is what I was concerned about. We have over 320 days of sunshine here.

I like green for its easiness on the eyes but I have noticed in certain foliage and lighting conditions it can be difficult to find. Im split on green and red because of this.

Now Blue is a cool new color starting to pop up in some of the higher end reticles.

I love my RMR RM07 (6.5 MOA LED).

The red dot is not available in the dual-illuminated RMRs, only in the two LED lines. Since they require batteries, I have excluded them from consideration for the time being.

I respectfully have to disagree with you. Have you used a Dual-Illuminated RMR?

OP, here is a picture of my Glock 19 w/ 9-MOA dual-illuminated RMR. Please note, my camera sucks, so the dot is actually a LOT smaller in real life. Its a little thinner than the .125 wide front tritium BUIS.

ETA: This is how bright it is with a very dim light on in my bedroom.

My eyes cannot pick up an amber dot very quickly at all. Green is instant and red is better than amber.
Everyones eyes are different but green is very fast to pickup quickly.
I've helped so many people sight in their red dots (not always red) and scopes.
Some people love red and some love amber, for me it's green. I shoot competition
sporting clays and I shoot into a green treeline and green doesn't get lost as easily as red.
I also can put in a red pipe and I consistantly shoot better with green.
The problem the OP is going to have is not being able to try these out first.
