leaving unread topics as new
Ship or Term,
I lose my wifi from time to time or have to log out before I have read all the new posts in areas of interest to me. When logging back in I have to go searching dates and times to make sure I haven't missed anything. YA, I know I am an FNForum.net junkie, but it really ROCKS!
Is there a way to leave new unread topics showing as new, instead of showing read when relogging into the forum?
Not sure the technical part of forums, but I thought I would ask. Could have it as an option in one's profile settings. Maybe its not so simple, but I would understand if it so.

No, unfortunately, it isn't possible. I've had an occassional issue with this too - if a browser crash, or it looses my cookie and I don't stay signed in.
It's a software thing that we cannot do anythinga bout.
We will have V Bulletin installed later this year - assuming the conversion of the database goes off withouta hitch. We may have more luck with this issue with that software.
I believe with V Bulletin - we can set it up to just keep showing all the threads from that day - even if you already read some. Until we switch, we're stuck - we can't do that on php.

Hard to be careful when wifi signal drops, beyond my control.
I just know there are forums that show threads un-read until you read it, no matter what.
Just thought it might be doable here now.
