Nothing. Two completely different things with the same name.
A "gift" Karma is simply something a person offers to give away for free. This is usually something extra you have lying around the shop that you don't need. You start a "karma" thread and ask people to post a funny pic or quote a phrase or tell a joke... then after a few days yo select a winner from the people who posted in the thread and send them the prize. How you select the winner is intirley up to the giver. Usually we pick a name from a hat or ask a coworker to pick a number from one to whatever... and the poster that is in that postion will get it. It's called karma because when it first started being used on forums it was meant to bring the giver good luck. Or good karma. What comes around goes around kinda thing.
The karma points we award each other is just for fun to show appreciation for a funny or informative post. It has no other meaning. If you were to create a thread detailing with photos and captions the field stipping and re assembly of let's say a Thompson machine gun, you would probably be bombarded with thank you posts and many karma points. If a person always makes rude comments or acts like a jerk he may find he has a negative karma pont total. You can kinda tell how helpful a person has been to others based on this karma point total. But not always... sometimes people just award them to friends for no real reason. So take the karma point thing with a grain of salt.
Did that help? If so gimme a karma point. :P
That reminds me... I owe SONYtec a point... thanx for reminding me.

Seriously thought....... it is nice to see vendors do this kind of thing. Good job Critical Dimensions. I am sure it creates interest in the mag clamps, the site, and FN products in general.
Thanks to the forum moderators and Critical Dimensions for the gift. I will post a review ASAP. Again thanks and good luck to all on the next KARMA>
