Very specific FS2000 standard optic question

Hello everyone, long time lurker and I've come across a problem that has forced me to register. I own an FS2000 standard and I am a big fan of the 1.6x magnification but I don't like the lack of an illuminated reticle. I've been looking for a 1.5x/1.6x illuminated reticle scope that is tritium powered and would fit underneath the Standard's optic shroud. I was thinking about the Trijicon 1.5x16 compact ACOG but I don't if it would fit underneath the shroud. I'm in college right now so I can't get the dimensions of the Standard's scope or shroud and I also don't have a spare grand to buy the ACOG and test it out. If there is anyone who has both the Standard and the compact ACOG, I would greatly appreciate it if they would try it out (w/ pics would be really appreciated). If there is any other working combo I would love to hear it, thanks.

Chicago Ted - I have a tactical FS2000 but I might be able to help you out. I discovered a site that has an illuminator for the ghost ring sight on the PS90. I'm not sure if it will help with your standard FS but I can tell you first hand that it works great. It's called the REM 2 and you can get it through gunbroker.com, ebay or through MagazineParts.com. Like I said, I haven't seen how the FS2000 Standards are set up but it's worth a try. The best thing is that the illuminator costs about $100. Good luck!

REM 2 will not work as there is no light collector in the FS2000 Standard optic.
Chicago, I am in the same boat as you. I'm looking for a tritium powered optic for my standard.

What I did was replace the factory optic with and ACOG, the rail is lower and you get a perfect cheek weld, after 2000 rnds their is not a mark on the rail, I do not baby it, I beat the crap out out of it.

That thing looks good for being slapped around like a stepchild.

Which mount are you using with the Acog? Do you think the standard flattop mount would work, or is your mount a bit taller to provide enough clearance?

I wouldn't recommend buying anything from Magazineparts. Read the complaint section specificly for him on the bottom of the main forum list.

You can buy the REM T3 illuminator directly from forum sponsor and manufacturer, M1P90, http://www.m1bullpup.com/

    Hi Guys,
I also have a FS2000 Standard (FS2K/S). I like spiralseal's ACOG setup and am trying to emulate it on my FS2K/S. Here are my questions...

    1. Spiralseal, what model ACOG do have on your weapon (I've looked but can't seem to find it)?

    2. And, does anyone know if the REM T-3 or REM T-3B is compatible with Spiralseal's particular ACOG Model (Needless to say, I'll let M1BullPup install it!)?

    3. Or, are any of the other ACOG models suggested?
