So, I got issued a nice LED flashlight, and it looked like it would be a perfect fit in the handgaurd. So.... I finally managed to grab my pair and cut into the hangaurd for it. I took it nice and slow, treaded carefully, checked my progress often, and TADA! It turned out great. Not absolutely perfect, but great!
The notch created by the gap between the battery cap and body of this light lined up very nicely with the internal rib inside the handgaurd. The head of it was slightly too close in, so I actually had to unscrew the head a few turns, but the O-ring keeps it from coming off any further.
I need to wait until the rest of my things arrive from Hawaii before I can mount the remote pressure switch. I'm thinking I'll drill out the drain hole and put the tape switch on the underside of the trigger gaurd, so I can use it with my bird-flippin' finger. If not there, then maybe on the right side, along that little 'contour' there. What do you guys think?

Where would I put the switch? Hmmm... I think I might put it on the left side so I could actuate it with my support hand thumb (being right handed, my left hand thumb would be used).

Thanks! I'm proud. I'll make an update when I get it in.

I would recommend putting the pressure switch on the right side to actuate with the fingers of the left hand. Very natural grip that way, and all the "big name" guys who make integral lights (like Surefire, for example) put the switch there. I would assume they did some research before coming to the conclusion that's the best place--so just steal their idea.
I got my tapeswitch in. It's not the flattest one ever made... I'm very sure it just has three of those very common 4-pin pushbuttons you see in everything, mounted on a tiny PCB board, and enclosed in a tube. But it's still ok. I think if I mount it under the trigger gaurd, I could still manage to use the drain hole without drilling it. If not there, then probably just below the charging handle.
