Besides having more flash hider choices, what is the benefit of 1/2x28 RH threads over the 9/16x24 LH threads? I am planning to have my barrel shortened to 14.5" and pin/weld a Gemtech adapter, which is available in both thread patterns.
Yes, I know what Jesus would do; my question is what would John Wayne do?
The most common thread pitch for suppressors is 1/2x28.Originally Posted by Gonzo71

Why cut it down. Just put a gemtech bilock on it for a G5. They have one with the proper threads.Originally Posted by Gonzo71

Doesn't seem like it is worth the little change to me.Originally Posted by Gonzo71
Speaking of short, I am thinking I need a CMMG M7 7.3" SBR AR...

Where you been, watching the polar ice cap melt?
Shorter is better? I'll ask the nice cashier lady at the grocery store what she says, and then get back to you. Give me about three months though, as I'm leaving for Antarctica in the morning. It's Walrus mating season and I wouldn't miss it for anything.![]()
