Greetings All,
Just unpacked and installed my tri-rail and found it to be a very tight fit when putting the upper back on. To be completely honest I didn't like at all the amount of force I had to apply to slide the upper on and just wondered if anyone else noticed a much tighter fit when putting the upper back on when compared to the standard fore grip. NOTE: I even applied a bit of CLP on the aluminum slides that meet the composite upper which helped only slightly.
thanks everyone!
I have a newbie question, did the the trirail come with a trigger guard and where did you get yours. I have been looking for a year and can't find one. Also which type of post grip did you get?

I picked mine up here:

When I first went here they showed as "out of stock" but I registered to be notified when they came back in stock, and was made aware this past weekend, placed my order and had it on the door step yesterday. I haven't added any tacticool stuff yet as I have a surefire 9P integrated custom fore grip already but believe I'll use this more as a bench setup. Planning on a tango down stubby grip + tango down bi-pod <- this is questionable though as paying 200 for a bipod doesn't sit well with me. Any one recommend any other rail compatible bipods?
thanks!
I got this for my SR556, and I am happy with it. It's stable, the perfect height, and cheap (price, not quality).

I think because the stock forend is plastic, it may have a little more "give" and would slide on easier than the aluminum tri-rail. The aluminum is a little rougher than the plastic, so it might also be that additional bit of friction.Originally Posted by blitzkrieg
I used militec on the contact points of the trirail, and it was a bit easier to get on.
I figure it will get smoother the more times I take it off and on (which aren't very often, so I'm not particularly concerned.) Maybe trying to polish the contact points on the trirail might help.

Just got mine last week. Went on snug, but slid right down. Can't find a foregrip that I really like yet. Anyone try that Mako grip that also holds a spare clip? Don't like the pistol grip look at all. Saw someone had used a Magpul AFG. Was wondering if anyone has used this and if your thumb was able to fit through the grips hole? Any help appreciated.
I'm glad to hear folks had the same thought about the rail and upper being snug. However, taking my FS2K for some range work and running about 80 rounds through it, I took it apart again and it seemed easier to come apart and put back together again. PS.....I mounted a LaRue F.U.G. and it works out well.Originally Posted by blitzkrieg

Thanks for all the replies glad to see I'm not the only one. Feels like it'll work it's way together after the aluminum "polishes"/wears-in the polymer after a few breakdowns.
Had the same thing with mine. Thought I would break it taking the upper off to clean it. Already had the 'switch' break so...I was firm but careful and off it came.![]()
