We sell about 20 AFGs per show and not fitting or fitting extremely tight is a common problem. I'm not sure if the injection machines are purposely offset on these or if given their thickness there isn't a problem in the cooling process that causes these to contract a bit.
In most cases, you can just force it on a rail, or in worst cases use a dremil as mentioned above.
I'd becareful knocking these until you try them. They take a little getting used to but once you do, they are far superior than most standard forward grips. Keep in mind also you can remove the little knob in the center and replace it with a flush piece that comes with the AFG.
All in all, I like mine on my SCAR, and the wife loves her's on her M&P15.

Not sure if you were referring to my post Sabotteur ... and I reread my post to make sure I didn't scamble my thoughts.
The AFG slid right on the rails of my FS2000 without any issues AFTER I cut off the lips on the end (see pictures) ... it was not a struggle or tough at all very well made.
I do think it is the best grip I have used bar none at this point. I have tried the standard, fold down, pistol grip, little knobs, ...this by far feels the most controlled because you have both a forward and a rear stop position.
When I was commenting on the stock forend I was referring to the FN org forend not the AFG. The FN factory org forend works ... but it was slick and thick ... the AFG on the tri-rail seems like what they should have done.
Looking around the forums on another thread there was a homemade AFG for lack of a better word that I think FN should really look at ... it was a great idea.
So sorry if my post seemed negative towards the AFG ... it was meant to be quite the opposite ... love the AFG and glad I bought two... next we will see how I like on the LR-308!
mnpolock, wasn't slamming you friend. I too come off a little rough around the edges at times. I guess I get a little defensive about the AFG as a lot of people mock it without even trying it.
Glad to hear you enjoy yours. One of Magpuls better products in my opinion.
