Spike's Tactical 9" Side Loading Havoc Launcher

I came across this thing ( http://www.spikestactical.com/z/inde...roducts_id=397) while wasting some time on google.

Spikes tactical goods are rock solid products. Highly recomended. We have owned a few of there original (first run) 37mm launchers with all good results. Much better than any similar product by other Mfg's. Definately whoops the pants off Cobray products or just about any other M203 style launcher out there for sale. While the side loader may be more durible than the metal on metal slide the original has, we can't tell if it is designed to rotate either direction for Ambi users. Only complaint wound be the swivel ridge looks like it sticks out of the side of the launcher (welded on). May hang up on things. But it could be just be the picture, its hard to tell.

Their original design is worth the three bills in our opinion. The newer swivel model may only be good for extra long rounds like batton projectiles. If you pick one up, let us know what you think.

Looks like flares only. Do they make a shotgun? Is it even legal to mount a shotgun under an AR15? I hadn't even thought of it until now.......

    37 MM

So far I have put two smoke rounds and one flare thru it. I was suprised and impressed by the smoke cloud that it created but the flare were so so. I have a few CS rounds coming in those should be fun to try. I do have the shotgun adpt for it and you need to register it as a DD to use real rounds but you can use the 12g Flares and they are super cheap.

So far I think its well built and very compact and would recommend anybody thinking about getting one

Yes, I brushed up on the NFA/ATF/AOW laws and although I have the
26.5mm and 12g adapters - I dont think I will reg it at this time.

The 12g adapter is milled so that you cannot chamber a regular 2.75"
12g in it but this would easily be correctable but contra ATF regs and
get you into a whole heap of hurt. So I dropped my local West Marine
and picked up some 12g flare pack of 4 for $25 and these chamber fine
    in the adapter.

I am also expecting the Spike Kaos stock mount next week and must say
they are pretty good about customizing it for you. I swapped the standard
telescoping stock with my preferred & standard one - a commercial tube
with a Magpul CTR. This will give me some leeway with my M4.

Wish the other FS2000 one was in product too... hint hint hint !

    Post a Pic

When it gets finished would like to see how yours looks with the mods. Do you think the system would hold up using 12g rounds if you went the DD route? I dont know if it would.

I have it assembled now - see pic.
Note that I dont have any sights for it yet and the ones in the image are
    just spare FS2000 front ones.

    Hope the pic attaches properly...
    The 2 adapters are 26.5mm and 12g.
Orange 12g flare to the left.

I dare say the 12g adapter would survive a shotgun round - do search on
Youtube as someone silly posted "something" being fired. The adapter
should be strong enough but YMMV... badly.

Can't upload pics directly from your computer unless you put them in your album (white button at bottom of your post), however, you can only link to it in there. Otherwise you need to upload it into photobucket or imageshack.
