    Prototype “BMF” Anti Tri-Rail - V4 - Tooling Around

In an Earlier post, “Magpul AFG”, Djv38 Posted a pic of the new Magpul AFG fore grip mounted to an FN Tri-rail. It Looked killer!
We liked it so much we picked one up for our AR. In order for us to mount it to the FS however, we would have had to break
down and actually purchase a Tri-rail. While the Tri-rail is a great product, we've never been fans of the side rails based on possible
accessory bulk and snags. Plus we are cheap. Though we end up spending more money on tooling around, than if we had
just bought the product in the first place! But that would take away all the fun.

Sooooo in our usual fashion, we started chopping things up! Below is what we came up with. While sticking to the same style and
use theory as the AFG, we manage the eliminated the dead space in the rear by the trigger housing. We also looked at the finer
points of the long missed Monolith Tri rail and the front end of tactical weapons like the P90. Thats when we decided to add the
85 Lumen light and adjustable laser to the lower forward hand catch!

It does kinda looks like a space toy, but it functions far better than many of our other version projects. The center of gravity is much
closer to the barrel, meaning less wobble compared to factory hand guard or anything that uses a weaver rail grip. With your hand
angled on the grip, its comfortable to pull the weapon against the shoulder and maintain target with ease.

    Upsides
Total weight is only about ten ounces including batteries. Try that with another grip, light, laser combo!
Very Compact and versatile for hand and grip comfort.
85 Lumen Surefire bulb, sharing two 123a batteries with laser
In line forward trigger light button, and separate laser button
    Downsides
Makes the FS2000 look even more like a toy.
Had to take off the Light, Laser, & 37mm Launcher unit to test this one out.
Used a cheap can of truck bed liner for added grip that uglied up the whole thing (won't be doing that again)

Since this looks to similar to another companies product, its not something we would try and sell. But we liked it so much, we figured why not share it!

    Thanks for looking.

Plastics, fiberglass, and epoxy. Did our best to keep it light.

    Awesome!

Looks like a good compromise between light/laser and gives you two forward hand positions. (Standing/upright, and prone.)

I don't get why FNH did not just scale the P90 design for the grip into the FS2K, while retaining the use of the NATO 5.56 mags?

It is close for the right hand/trigger, but then goes all away for the forward grip. (Yes, I know they wanted the 40mm launcher platform, but they should have made the stock front grip basicly like what you have there from the start.)
