1) Troy Ind. BUIS Full Sized or Micro?
What do you guys think?
I can buy either set, there's only like $10 -$20 differencee to go with the bigger size. But, I keep thinking that the Micro BUIS are the way to go on the weapon, both front and rear. They will take up less room and still be a big inprovement over the factory sights (what FN passes for sights on the FS2000 Tactical). Yes, I will have to mount the optic super low or use a micro red dot.
2) But what the heck, I'm thinking a Vortex SPARC (2MOA) $299 or an Aimpoint H-1 94MOA) around $550. I'm going to use some kind of small optics. What little & light weight optic do you guys recomend?
3) ALSO, has anybody used a Vortex SPARC micro red dot on a FS2000? If so I'd like to se some pictures of it.
Thanks

1) The most important use of a BUIS system is that their used as back up sights in case of failure of the main sighting system. If the main sighting system is passive (been 1X) you can just flip up the battle sights and use them on the fly, as long as your BUIS are cowitnessed to your main sighting system. If your main sighting system is not passive (magnified) then it would need to have a QD or a flip system and cowitnessing is not necessary. The choice of full size or micro is your choice depending on your set-up.Originally Posted by Dwayne A Smith
2) I would take the Aimpoint instead of the Vortex if these would be my only option but my personal preference would be an EOTech EXPS model.
3) I have not tried out the Vortex SPARC yet.
BTW. Welcome to the forum.
