That OAL requirement is completely bogus. "shall not be infringed" is pretty cut and dry. I'd default to the wisdom of the founders over the CA legislature. I'd hope no LEO would be silly enough to enforce that shite.
In family law courts male parents should be treated as well as female parents: equal time, equal cost for all fit parents.
I feel you 110% . Though any CA FFL dealer registering your paper work only goes by the DOJ requirements. They won't have anything to do with anything that isn't to exact specs. MOST OF THEM ARE REAL TOOLS ALSOOriginally Posted by Accomplice

Thank you for the heads up on these. My dealer just ordered he and I a couple fs2k tacticals, californicated. I told him about the mfi brakes that I read about here, and he ordered them up and installed them on our rifles. Much better option than the fake can extension. Just ordered my chop handle tonight, pick up the rifle next week, can't wait.
Thanks again
The thread form tolerance is loose on the MFI unit . Not UN2A or B for that matter.

Uh oh
What does that mean?
Is there a fix?
Can you do it?
Rocksett, and a dimple at the 6 o'clock position on the barrel for the set screw to settle in will keep it in place. The through bore on the MFI unit is large enough to avoid a projectile strike when it exits the barrel.
I just wanted to share my observation.

Really great solution to Californiaizing a FS2000. I just wish there was an equivalently tasteful (i.e. a muzzle-brake-like device) to enable a PS90 to be legal in CA. All of the other 'barrel covers' look pretty basic.
So am I understanding you guys correctly that the extension does not time right, so you use a threadlocker and just back it off until it times right and then set the setscrew?
