    Flash Hider Question

Forgive me if this is a stupid question. I've switched out flash hiders on numerous ARs, but now I'm going to attempt it on my FS2000. Is this a proper FH thread wise: Yankee Hill Phantom 5.56 QD Flash Hider (9/16" -24LH) Part#YHM-3102-24LA?

    Thanks

9/16 X 24 LH is correct based on the removal instructions posted here.

A pure democracy operates by direct majority vote of the people. When an issue is to be decided, the entire population votes on it; the majority wins and rules. A republic differs in that the general population elects representatives who then pass laws to govern the nation.

Thanks Sarge. I'm still debating on doing it myself. I have an admittedly poor success to F-Up ratio with drills.

You're welcome. Generally speaking, it can be done by an average guy but trashing a barrel when no factory units are available is a pretty big risk to take in the case of the FS2K.

Looking back at it all I should have waited and had a gunsmith do it. I got lucky I guess. However I'm pretty good with tools. I did not have a drill press, I used a right angle drill with some dremmel bits that are very small. I had good control with the right angle drill because my hand was right at the head of the drill so I could feel which metal I was drilling. Again this was my experience today. I got lucky and it all worked out fine.

I read your post and it did lean me towards doing it myself. But then I looked in the mirror, and waves of cringe inducing mistakes looked back at me. Congats on a successful job and a fine firearm.

Well I messed up my muzzle brake's removal.
Didn't damage the barrel fortunately, and Sarge came to the rescue, completing the removal and installing the new brake

Good deal. It is a scary process for sure. I have to give it to you for at least trying, as it takes guts for sure.
