I've seen the posts on converting the standard to tactical via dremel. My question is can you buy, from FN, the parts (rail, barrel support brackets, etc) to accomplish this without permanent modification? If so, could I get the part numbers?
Thanks
I'm not sure I am following you. The tactical has the metal rail on the top. The standard is the one with the hood, optics, and plastic rail. Why would you want to go from a tactical to a standard? I would just put a nice optic on the tactical and it would be nicer than the standard....
A pure democracy operates by direct majority vote of the people. When an issue is to be decided, the entire population votes on it; the majority wins and rules. A republic differs in that the general population elects representatives who then pass laws to govern the nation.
I have the standard. That's my problem.

Doesn't sarge have a tactical upper for sale in the classifieds? If so then I'd just go that direction since assume that gets you everything you need.

It's not a cheap path to travel down buying from FNH Parts Dept. The alloy rail is $700.00 alone, BUT it does come with the case anti-return. The barrel support brackets are $200 (stripped). The sights (you'll need both front and rear assemblies) and they'll cost close to $300. Just to give you an idea. The rail is the killer and the support brackets are a close second...
You still want the part numbers, I can list them all.
07/02 SOT Manufacturer, Suppressors, NFA Firearms, and everything else COOL!
Ouch. Thanks Sarge. I guess I'll stick with my home-brew rail riser set-up.
At least it would be cheaper buying his upper that is for sale. I think he has it listed for $800.
