So I was installing my tri rail a few days ago and when tightening the screws into the trigger guard the threads on one of the sides stripped out. Now I have no way of attaching the trigger guard to the rail. I need a new trigger guard piece, I contacted FN parts and I am not sure they really understood what I needed and they werent very helpful. They basically said that FN doesnt make it and gave me the number for Force engineering and said contact them. They were also unresponsive. What can I do?
A pure democracy operates by direct majority vote of the people. When an issue is to be decided, the entire population votes on it; the majority wins and rules. A republic differs in that the general population elects representatives who then pass laws to govern the nation.
There is really no reason to ever remove the trigger guard once it is on there. You could use some sort of megaglue or have it pinned or welded on there.
Rocksett.
Clean both parts with rubbing alcohol to ensure no oils are present. Squirt a fair amount of Rocksett into the stripped thread form and apply some to the fastener as well. Insert fastener into stripped hole and clamp in place for two days.
OR..
Buy another tri-rail.

This is pretty simple. Google helicoil thread inserts. Find the kit specific to the thread that needs fixed. It will come with the correct size drill bit and thread tap along with the threaded inserts. You can find numerous videos on how to use the kit via youtube, but it is pretty straight forward. It utilizes stainless steel thread inserts which also eliminates the steel to aluminum corrosion problem and propensity to strip aluminum threads. Hope this helps.
