Magazine and light mounting questions from a new fs2000 owner

I agree, a ten year old can do it. What's the problem? You don't need to oil it. Just grab the damn thing and shove it in there. Or pull on it. Too many people have been confused by this AR mentality that your magazines are supposed to fall in the mud when you push a button. You don't want your magazines in the mud do you? Or maybe you wanna change magazines before you empty. You want a magazine with ammo in the mud as well? Pull the damn thing out and stick it in your pocket!

I took a bullet to my left wrist in Viet Nam and recently retired early due to arthritis in my right hand. Some on this board seem to not consider that others may not have full function of their hands. Removal of the gaskets is simple with the supplied tools and solved the magazine issues for me.

As for the light, a Streamlight TLR-2 on the top rail does work. It does cause a shadow in the lower portion of my Burris AR-332 sight however I think that is the laser mounted on the top of the light. The Streamlight TLR-1 has no laser. Without the laser it would probably work fine. Something you might consider.

Of course that's a valid reason. But the people complaining haven't said that's the reason. Someone with a fully functioning hand should have zero difficulty operating it. At least you were careful with the gaskets and are saving them.

I have some Pmags I am modifying to fit in my FS2k. They work fine, but you have to take about a 1 and 3/4 inch long, 1/8 inch thick strip off the front which really sucks, and if you go too deep, you can cut a hole in the mag. Im hoping someone has found a better way, but I have not seen it if there is.
